How I Use Exist.io

If I can track something I will track something. Many websites and devices have data on my usage. The problem is that they don’t talk to each other. The Health app on iOS collects a lot of great data. But can it correlate that health data to productivity metrics or my mood?

No, it cannot. That is why I was so happy to discover the website Exist.io back in 2018. Since I signed up, it’s been the service that provides me with the most joy. Exist.io built its website to take those disparate services and connect them. It collects data and gives you a comprehensive dashboard. It also has a correlation engine where you can see if you take more steps on days you listen to more music. Or you can see if you rate days as better if you got more sleep.

Over the years I used the correlation engine to understand what my triggers are for good days. Plenty of sleep. Plenty of exercise. No or moderate amounts on alcohol. Plenty of water. Plenty of time dedicated to being productive. I now use Exist.io to track those triggers and try to optimize my day around them.

It is quite a special website. I would encourage you to try it out for the free month trial. If you like it, it does cost $57/year which is not bad. It’s the time to reflect on the previous year and set my sights on the new year. It’s a good time to capture the services and attributes I use today with Exist.io.
